Chris Payne

Chris Payne has over 25 years of private equity experience, investing in over two dozen different technology companies in North America, including Navantis in 2008.  Chris is a founding partner of Genuity Capital Partners, which he has helped grow to over $200 million in assets with one third of portfolio firms being technology-related businesses.

Prior to joining Genuity in 2005, Chris spent five years with CIBC Capital Partners as a Managing Director broadly responsible for a portfolio of investments including leading technology-related companies.

From 1997 to 2000, Chris worked as a successful entrepreneur, business leader, and investor in several early-stage technology companies based in Palo Alto, California. During the late 1980's, Payne spent over eight years working on Wall Street with Merrill Lynch and The Blackstone Group.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from Queens University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
