THE POSITION

The requirement

Navantis is looking for a Senior HR Professional, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of HR solutions for Navantis that enable the achievement of business objectives. The Director, HR participates in strategy and planning for all elements of our business and has specific accountability for performance management, job evaluation, recruitment, total rewards, training & development and employee relations.

Roles & Responsibilities   

Create an annual HR plan that underpins the business objectives, and orchestrates team and individual objectives to meet the plan. Institute team practices to ensure the ongoing and effective management of the HR business.

Own the recruitment strategy for Navantis, including branding, leveraging user groups, technical testing events, contract vs. permanent sourcing, employee referrals, etc. Manage the effective execution of the recruitment function, ensuring appropriate discipline and infrastructure is in place, to serve the necessary quality and volume, and with emphasis on reduced time to hire, cost per hire and candidate satisfaction. Lead the on-boarding initiatives.

Provide consulting services to all department heads and managers regarding employee relations, performance management, organization effectiveness, team development, and employee satisfaction.

Lead the semi-annual performance management process including facilitating cross-functional feedback, and identification and management of performance extremes, issues and opportunities. Guide managers and conduct effective outplacement processes, when required.

Manage all aspects of the annual compensation process. Ensure that issues of internal and external equity and competitiveness are identified and addressed appropriately. Provide consulting expertise and guidance to managers.

Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover and exit interview data to formulate initiatives focused on developing strong relationships with our employees.  Develop a mechanism for capturing employee satisfaction data.

Ensure that non-technical learning initiatives are identified and effectively implemented through the annual HR plan.

Provide active coaching and mentoring of Human Resources Generalist to maximize contributions and provide career path.

Support the implementation of all HR change initiatives within Navantis.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of human resources experience with a minimum of 2 in a people management role with CHRP. University degree is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of key human resources functions including, performance management, policy development, compensation, recruitment strategy and training & development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with an ability to form strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of business operations.
  • Strong, demonstrated leadership and consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence management and build consensus.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility to address changing client needs.
  • High degree of proactivity and a demonstrated ability to make things happen.
  • Strong problem solving skills with a practical approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including written and verbal skills
