Navantis is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to work along side our customers to develop innovative technology solutions.

 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The QA Lead is responsible for the coordination of 5 testers globally. This position provides QA support for the Customer Service Support team activities and is part of rapid response to client issues. If you have great interpersonal skills and the ability to learn new products and environments quickly, you are the person we’re looking for!

Primary Duties:

  • Effectively utilize the team according to their skills and team deliverables
    Enforce accurate reporting to Management/Executive on team activities
    Encourage effective communication and collaboration between teams in Canada and Sri Lanka
    Utilize Visual Studio Team Tester effectively to coordinate with the rest of the QA team
    Report issues/successes to QA Manager and Client Support Services Manager
  • Lead response to urgent customer crises and assist the CSS team in effectively turning around issues efficiently

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience as a Lead QA on a team of at least 4 testers.
  • At least 2 years in a customer facing or professional services environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience using an industry standard automation tool (Mercury QTP, Visual Studio Team Tester, Rational Robot, Test Complete)
  • Experience writing client facing Test Plans, Test Cases
  • Previous leadership of QA in an off-shore environment would be ideal
  • Clear communication both written and Oral in client facing situations
  • Post-secondary education in either computer science/computer engineering preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with MS CMS, SharePoint, SQL Server 2005, and/or BizTalk servers
  • QA Lab Management / Creation
  • Exposure to organizational standards such as CMM/ISO in practice
